Summary

Book 3 in the one-of-a-kind adventure series from New York Times bestselling author Jonathan Auxier explores the real magic behind simple acts of kindness。

Auggie loves his job at the Fabled Stables, but he fears the day when it will come to an end。 Fen keeps dropping hints that caretakers don’t stay forever, and it’s giving Auggie the grumps。 Thankfully, there always seems to be a new stall to fill。 This time, the stables set Auggie on a quest to rescue a beast called the Shibboleth—but the portal leads Auggie and Fen to the lair of the evil Rooks!

In the dark, damp dungeon, they meet one mysterious girl and one very hungry monster。 It’s already gobbled up all of the Rooks, and Auggie and Fen are next unless they figure out the one way to calm the creature。 Will they be able to work together to complete the mission before it’s too late?

For me, having only read Willa the Wisp, I found this book picks up where The Fabled Stables: Willa the Wisp left us。 This book was fantastic! I thought Elizabeth and Veena were great additions。 I loved that Fen and Auggie came to an understanding, that was a sweet moment。Can't wait to read the next Fabled Stables story! Belly of the Beast is book #3 in The Fabled Stables Book Series; a series which "explores the real magic behind simple acts of kindness。" The series is written at a reading level of Grades 1-4 (ages 6-9 years old)。As a mother of young children, I like the premise of the series: teaching children kindness。 Reading a book that has a strong moral is a great way to open the door to exploratory conversations with your children。Children will love the fun illustrations and the growing collection of one Belly of the Beast is book #3 in The Fabled Stables Book Series; a series which "explores the real magic behind simple acts of kindness。" The series is written at a reading level of Grades 1-4 (ages 6-9 years old)。As a mother of young children, I like the premise of the series: teaching children kindness。 Reading a book that has a strong moral is a great way to open the door to exploratory conversations with your children。Children will love the fun illustrations and the growing collection of one-of-a-kind creatures at the Stables。 Throughout the book, the main character (a young boy named Auggie) works through a few of his insecurities: Do I belong? Will I be rejected? Am I working hard enough? Am I doing a good job? I think many children will find Auggie and his struggles very relatable。"Belly of the Beast" introduces a new character and ends with the start of a new journey。 There is more to come of this fantastical adventure! Thank you to Penguin Random House Canada, author Jonathan Auxier and Netgalley for the digital advanced reader copy of the book。 The opinions are my own and have not been sponsored or swayed in any way。 。。。more
